Men Fishing in Dresses………

On Saturday, March 7, 2015, the Central Elite Pro Circuit, a leader in professional fishing circuits, will “Dress-Up for Dollars” to assist the Fish 4 Tales organization in making the dreams of children come true. More than $2,475 has been pledged by local anglers and businesses to have two men in dresses and heels at this weekend’s fishing tournament at Table Rock Lake, according to a news release.

What started as a fun dare between Central Pro Circuits owner Mike Webb and fellow bass fishing anglers has grown into thousands of dollars being raised for Fish 4 Tales. Webb posted on his Facebook page on Feb. 28, “If you guys come up with $1,000 I will wear a dress for the entire weigh-in Saturday at our Elite Pro Event out of Mill Creek. I will donate the money to Fish 4 Tales.”

“This is a charity that is near and dear to my heart,” said Mike Webb, owner of Webb Outdoors and Central Pro Circuits. “These funds raised will help Fish 4 Tales purchase apparatuses to assist the organization’s special needs kids on hunting and fishing excursions, as most of the kids can’t use their legs and arms. This will help these children partake and enjoy in the beauty of the Ozarks.”

The wager was upped by Fish 4 Tales organizer J.P. Sell after Sell stated on Webb’s Facebook post, “If you make it $1,500, I will fish in a dress both days.”

More than 420 comments from local fishing professionals roared in on the Facebook posts to see both men, over 6 feet tall and 250 pounds, wear pink dresses and heels at the upcoming fishing tournament at Table Rock Lake, Mill Creek Boat Ramp. In addition, Sell will be shaving his head and legs after the tournament, all for the local charity.

“Fish 4 Tales was founded to help special needs children understand the natures of the beautiful Ozarks lakes and outdoors,” said J.P. Sell, Fish 4 Tales organizer.” The goal is to help children do things they never thought was possible. With assistance from Webb Outdoors, these children’s “fish tales” will come true.”

Car-Fi of Springfield is on board as a corporate sponsor of “Dresses for Dollars,” contributing $500 to the cause and offering a Go-Pro camera drawing. Anyone donating at least $20 will be entered into a drawing to win a Go-Pro from Car-Fi worth over $130. Rowdy Beaver of Branson and Cassville has also donated $500 to the cause.
